I Wrote a Book!
Milwaukeeans are famous for their humility. So while this feel like shameless self promotion (which it is) I am going to ignore the shame for once and shout from the rooftops: “Buy my book!”
“100 Things to Do in Milwaukee Before You Die” (second edition) will be out this May 1 and will be available to purchase for $16 right here on the homepage of this site. You’ll also see it at local establishments and larger retailers, but if you buy it directly from me, I’ll enclose a love letter.
It was so much fun for me to re-discover the Milwaukee, visiting iconic spots that I’ve never seen like the Pabst Mansion and getting a first look at new spots like the Fiserv Forum and Good City Brewing. It was such a challenge to whittle down my list to just 100 Things. I tried to curate a list with both famous and off-the-beaten path experiences for tourists and locals alike. I even took the photos for the book, so experiencing the city through a lens was a new and exciting experience for me.
You can stay up to date by following me on social media (@milwaukeetype on Instagram or Facebook.com/jennakashou) and searching #100ThingsMKE. I’ll be sharing bits and pieces of the book before we get the real, live copy in our hot little hands.
I am currently accepting preorders – all you have to do is drop me a line at jlkashou@gmail.com.
Also, check out some photos I took of our fine city for the book.
